Apache Introduces BULLSEYE® 5+ Laser Receiver

Dayton, Ohio, October 26, 2004

Apache - a Trimble company introduces the BULLSEYE 5+ Machine Mounted Laser Receiver. The receiver detects laser light generated by rotating lasers and gives the machine operator a visual indication of which direction to move the blade or bucket to reach an "on-grade" position. Versatile features built into the receiver make it ideally suited for grading, excavating, and automatic laser machine control operations.

The Bullseye 5+ is the first laser receiver to incorporate a blade tilt indicator in the display. The blade tilt indicator increases accuracy and productivity by showing the grading machinery operator whether the blade position is level or tilted. The blade tilt indicator can also be programmed to match an existing or known grade for slope matching operations.

The Bullseye 5+ also features a built-in plumb sensor used during excavation operations. The plumb sensor lets the operator know when the dipper arm of an excavator or backhoe is vertical, increasing accuracy and grade checking speed.

The receiver incorporates fully proportional photocell technology that makes it ideally suited for automatic hydraulic control when used with Apache's Tornado F1 blade control packages.

Other features include 360-degree laser beam reception, green on-grade LED's, selectable accuracies, tough waterproof construction, and self-contained batteries. Options include magnetic mounts for quick installation, various power supplies, two color choices, and a remote display for viewing grade information in the cab if the receiver is positioned behind the operator.
