FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Apache Moves Into New State-of-the-Art Facility Dayton, Ohio, January 6, 2003 After 12 years of continuous growth, Apache - a Trimble company has moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The new worldwide headquarters is a 30,000 square foot purpose-built structure, located on 6 acres in the Center Point 70 Commerce Park in Dayton, Ohio. The facility houses all manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, and service departments. The building includes over 15,000 square feet of manufacturing and assembly area. A Class A clean room is environmentally controlled to stringent levels of temperature, humidity, air filtration and static, for clean, consistent assembly of electronic components. An environmental room houses various temperature cells and chambers for testing, characterization, calibration, and curing of components and assemblies. The service department has the capability for in-house service schools and training. Apache Europe has also recently moved to a new, larger facility in Essen, Germany. The Essen location provides both sales and service support for Apache's growing European customer base. Apache - a Trimble company designs, manufacturers, and distributes construction and agricultural laser products for leveling and alignment. Apache is the world's largest manufacturer of laser detectors for construction and agriculture. This position of leadership was earned by developing leading edge, proprietary and patented laser detection technologies. These technologies are employed in all of Apache's hand held detectors and machine control receivers. Apache not only manufactures these products for its own dealer network, but also manufactures for other leading laser manufacturing companies in both North America and Europe.
