Apache Merges With Trimble Navigation
Dayton, Ohio, April 19, 2005
APACHE TECHNOLOGIES has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by publicly traded TRIMBLE NAVIGATION of Sunnyvale, California.
The purchase by Trimble will assist Apache in obtaining its long term growth goals. The ability of each company to leverage the other companies' technologies, manufacturing efficiencies, and distribution networks will lead to faster growth. Additionally, Apache will be able to reach parts of the world normally inaccessible to a company its size.
Apache's success in recent years has earned it the leadership position in the laser detection industry. With Trimble's additional resources and support, Apache intends to further expand and improve upon the technologies and products it offers to its customers.
Apache will operate independently as a wholly owned subsidiary within Trimble's Engineering and Construction division. The current management and staff will remain in place and changes should be transparent to customers. Current business relationships should not be affected. Apache's existing distribution and OEM relationships will continue and be respected by Trimble.
Apache will continue to provide excellence in products and customer service, as these cornerstones have been an integral part of the company's success to date.
